HCDA Reserved Housing Program

Six Eighty is under the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) Reserved Housing rental program, an effort to provide a spectrum of housing within the Kaka‘ako community development district that is priced for residents within the low to moderate income range. Applicants must meet specific qualifications in order to be considered.

  3. Complete online application on www.locationsrentals.com and property staff will follow up with directions to complete Part 2 of the application process.

Tenant Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or an emancipated minor
  • Must occupy unit as primary residence
  • Must not have any debt owed to the HCDA
  • Must have satisfactory credit history
  • Must have satisfactory landlord history
  • If single or married, neither individual may have owned a principal residence either in Hawaii or elsewhere for a period of three (3) years prior to the date of application.
  • Must not have been an owner of a unit purchased under the Reserved Housing Program
  • Must not have more than 125% of the unit’s maximum income limit in total assets (excluding retirement accounts)
  • Under the Reserved Housing Rental Program, the total household income cannot exceed 100% of Honolulu’s median gross income.
