Honolulu Night Market

June 25th was a night to remember! There was action and buzz everywhere you turned at Honolulu Night Market: Summer Kickoff, from the 60+ pop-up tents and food trucks lining the streets to the live entertainment and activities spread out in the event footprint.

Paradise Soccer Club hung nets, laid down field lines, and set up goals in The Barn at SALT at Our Kaka‘ako to host indoor soccer games, including a keiki clinic in the first hour.

Meanwhile, the Style Monarchs held rounds and rounds of their Street Dance Competition that showcased local talent vying for the top spot in front of a rapt audience.

Throughout the evening, local musicians Kennedy Taylor and the Electric Pancakes, TheBrewz, Made to Order, and Lovejack jammed out at the stages at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard and on Auahi St.

And as the sun set, the night came alive. Over 20 models took the stage on Auahi St. to strut their stuff and dazzle the crowd with Ola Hou Designs styles that graced New York Fashion Week and the debut of new aloha wear.

We were so happy to see the incredible turnout and everyone’s excitement for the return of this Our Kaka‘ako tradition. At Our Kaka‘ako, we feel it is our kuleana (responsibility) to uplift our local businesses and bring people together. Plus, we love doing it when we get to host such a fun event!

Mahalo to our presenting sponsor, Shaka by Central Pacific Bank, as well as our sponsors the Kaiāulu ‘o Kaka‘ako Owners Association, Hawaiian Electric, and Pacific Media Group who share our community values and helped us make this event happen. And mahalo to the thousands of people who stopped by to enjoy everything Our Kaka‘ako had to offer!
